Waves done
some frantic finishing later: the wavy summer-top is on the 'done-list'.
Its come out ok-ish, but the least bit of scrutiny reveals funny stitches and non-perfectly woven in ends.
Enough cotton for a while, I want my next project to be stockinette stitch, knitted in the round, in wool... sounds like a sock, or perhaps something for felting. I need a success.
First, though, I might finish another project: a crochet bag made with plastic-string, the kind you'd use for washing line. Photo in future post, as now I need to get my self organized for going to a wedding tomorrow.

The best I have
It is really meagre knitting times around here..
To show I'm still around, the best I could come up with is a few revelations of the inner Miss Janet :-)
You appear to be a Knitting Guru. You love knitting
and do it all the time. While finishing a piece
is the plan, you still love the process, and
can't imagine a day going by without giving
some time to your yarn. Packing for vacation
involves leaving ample space for the stash and
supplies. It can be hard to tell where the yarn
ends and you begin.

As for the waves in the previous post, I've done all the colour bits, but still need to do straps, deal with ends... I have been meaning for my next post to be a finished top, but couldn't wait any longer.

Summer Waves
Crawling in the area under the bed and the back of my drawers revealed some yarn for a wavy summer top I bought a while ago, and have hardly touched since. I am using the original yarn, Safran from Garnstudio. The pattern in it self is not difficult, but attempting to handle 6 colours at once is - and so is trying to knit a pattern with mistakes in it....ARGHHHHHHHH. I bought the booklet with the pattern last year, and yesterday I spend several hours in its company on a bus + ferry trying to work out how the decreases above the armhole shapings should be made -having to wait forever to come home to have my suspicions confirmed from the online version. So far, I've got the front and cast on for the back. The colours are slightly brighter IRL.
