C.U.C. - Cardigan under Construction

Thank you for all the comments to my shawl-productions, so nice to hear from readers ;-) And I agree with
Marie-Louise, that the 'Femina-shawl' is a very nice and motivating knit.

I used to be a bit intimidated by sweater-patterns and hence stayed mainly with shawls and socks. This intimidation seems to have evaporated though, maybe around the time I got Ann Budds sweater book? Some days ago, I found my self entering a yarn shop, getting 'Newzealandsk Lammeuld' (New Zealand lambs wool) of the shelf, asking the lady how much she'd estimate for a cardigan, and getting the answered 500 g. And here I am, simply knitting away without a specific target in mind (though have envisioned a straight forward plain, but much need, cardigan ). As I haven't decided the front details yet, I started with the cardigan-back and a sleeve will be initiated tonight. All made on my mothers old metal 4.5 mm straight needles. I feel all nostalgic using them, being used to circulars.

Skønt bare at strikke derudaf ikke? Og så tanken om at skabe noget unikt....herligt! Hmm...jeg må også se at få bestilt den bog.

Cool! I hope that some day I will be brave enough to try that.

Hi Jeanette! Thanks for coming by and visiting my blog -- I would *love* to have a go at a knitting pattern in Danish! The abbreviations are what leave me in the dark... I'd welcome any help you can offer!

Jeg glæder mig da overordentlig til at se din selvopfundne bluse - og Newzealandsk Lammeuld er jo bare så lækkert at sidde og nusse sin idé igenne med kan jeg levende forestille mig !!
